Terms of Service

1. What Nivo Is
Nivo provides an online store builder for businesses that sell physical products. A seller creates an account, builds a storefront from a template, adds products, accepts orders and payments, and manages sales from one dashboard. These terms govern every account, store and transaction that runs on the platform.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid name, email address and phone number when you register. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password private. One person or business may hold only the accounts it can actively manage. Nivo may suspend accounts that share login details across unrelated businesses.
3. Your Store and Products
You agree that:
- Products listed are legal to sell in Nigeria.
- Prices, stock levels and descriptions are accurate and kept current.
- Images you upload belong to you or you hold the right to use them.
- Your store does not sell prohibited goods such as weapons, illicit drugs or counterfeit items.
Nivo may hide or suspend stores that break these rules, with or without prior notice where risk to buyers or the platform requires it.
4. Orders and Fulfilment
When a buyer places an order, a contract forms between the buyer and your business, not between the buyer and Nivo. You are responsible for confirming, preparing and delivering orders within the timelines stated on your store. Order statuses in your dashboard (pending, confirmed, processing, ready, completed, cancelled) must reflect the true state of each order.
5. Payments
Buyers can pay online, by bank transfer where offered, or on delivery where you enable it. Online payments are processed by licensed payment providers on Nivo's infrastructure. Nivo collects online revenue into your Nivo wallet first. You withdraw funds to the bank account verified in your settings. Payout timing follows the schedule shown in your wallet.
6. Fees and Subscriptions
Nivo offers Free, Starter, Business and Pro plans with monthly, bi-annual and annual billing. Plan limits cover products, orders, customers, staff seats and storage. Fees are charged in naira to the payment method on file. Downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. See the Refund Policy for how cancellations are handled.
7. Domains
Every store receives a Nivo store link. Paid plans can connect a custom domain. You are responsible for renewing any domain you own outside Nivo. Nivo is not liable for loss of a domain caused by your registrar.
8. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Use Nivo for fraud, money laundering or any unlawful purpose.
- Upload malware, scrape other stores, or probe platform security.
- Send spam or unsolicited messages to buyers found through the platform.
- Misrepresent your business, prices or delivery promises.
9. Suspension and Termination
Nivo may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, remain unpaid, stay inactive in ways that harm buyers, or attract repeated fraud complaints. You may close your account at any time from settings. Wallet balances remain withdrawable after closure subject to pending order obligations.
10. Liability
Nivo provides the platform as is. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Nivo is not liable for lost profit, lost goods, delivery failures by sellers or logistics partners, or downtime beyond its reasonable control. Total liability for any claim is limited to fees you paid to Nivo in the three months before the claim arose.
11. Changes and Contact
Nivo may update these terms and will post the new version on this page with a revised date. Continued use after changes take effect means acceptance. Questions belong to the support channel inside your dashboard.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are first handled through support and mediation in Lagos before any court action.
